Apparition

This was exposed for around 60 seconds, It was hard to gauge the time correctly, because it was a windy day in early spring and very cloudy.
My jacket was a dark color & my skirt was white - that is why it
appears that I don't have much of a torso.

This was captured using the pinhole camera Impressions. Since I can only find a close-up shot of Impressions - I'll post a picture of the camera tomorrow.

Your ghostly images, and the following image by Wayne Molyneux, have inspired me to experiment with double exposures on the past few rolls of film. I will post my first attempt once my current series ends. I also tried fiddling around in PS with images taken on a digital camera, wanting to achieve the same effect, but the film image is very difficult to match.

@24x36mm: I agree - - matching it in photoshop is a bit difficult...
Do 2 layers
Try turning down the opacity on the top layer & then changing it to Overlay.

You have to mess about with which photo you put ontop to do that to because of the RULE of exposing. Where white areas are going to remain white with no faded image underneith.

I'm still trying to perfect it.

@John: That ghost is me! I was only in the exposure for about 20 seconds.

@Tracey: I didn't get a chance to post any words with this one yesterday... The exposure was about 60 seconds during a time when the sun would be out - then a cloud would come by! Everytime the sun came out I would run outside and try to grab a shot, but then a cloud would race over in the middle of my exposure throwing off how long it would need.

I love it! Ronnie said it best. I really enjoy your commentaries and how you took an image. In this one I particularly like the facial features in a ghostly way. Your pinhole images have always fascinated me.
