The little bow
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 26 March 2009 in Art & Design.
A little more detail of the bottom of my piece. This has been wonderful to work on and making this kind of thing makes me want to have my own studio. It has been time consuming, but the hard work has made this piece evolve so much.
Last night I woke at 1:30am and could not fall back asleep. I suspect I will be beyond exhaused today after work trying to be at school.
I went to school last night and my VCU pass is suppose to be working now, well - it was a total surprise when it was *you may have guessed* it still was NOT WORKING. I waited outside until someone came out and then went upstairs to the kiln that I needed to start. I discovered when I arrived that the kiln had already been started??!! I think that my teacher had been running it... but the cycle wasn't finished. Confused by this I decided to call her - she confirmed she had started the kiln, but that it started smoking! AHHH - she guesses it would be because of the lace :( so she cut the kiln off before it reached cone 06. She said she was going to try and restart it today and watch it so that if it starts smoking a lot we can cut it off again.
ahhh the worries of all my work comes down to firing the piece.
Oh well, if it fails I shall just have to make a new one,
