Paranoid Fitting
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 17 March 2009 in Art & Design.
Do you remember how I said that I was paranoid about the fitting of the lace to my piece. Well, here I am again fitting my templates before I cut the lace. I had 3 panels cut out of paper like the one you saw yesterday to fit around my piece. I this photo I taped together the 3 pieces and then placed it around my piece to make sure the fit was good.
You know the saying measure twice cut once. I think I measured at least 10 times.
Yesterday in class I felt out of sync. I felt like since I started working as a Graphic Designer that my brain is having a hard time getting back into the mind of my sculpture art of thinking. Right now it is a difficult transition, both forms of art use the skill of problem solving but in VERY different ways. I almost wish I had some kind of mind numbing paper pushing job so my mind wouldn't be exhausted of its skills after work trying to think about my art.
Whats left of the left brain,
