Testing the Lace
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 25 February 2009 in Art & Design.
So here is a test boob shape with lace on it. This has been fired once in the kiln - the first firing is called the bisque firing. Its amazing the detail in the lace from the slip that I put on it. WOW - I'm so excited about how much detail showed up and I can't wait to see how it turns out on my the BIG TALL piece I'm making. super coolness.
Today our pieces are suppose to be at the finished stages or close to it. Mine is pretty much ready. I'm one of 3 people in the class with their piece ready *I'm really excited over that* I'm actually surprised more people do not have their pieces ready - some of them are REALLY complicated so I can understand them not being ready. The most complicated part for me so far has been putting the lace on my piece. I couldn't just THROW it on there It had to be cut and measured & re-measured (since I didn't want to mess up the ONLY piece of lace I purchased) besides that waste money & time if I had to go get another piece, because I was too lazy to measure my piece.
Measure TWICE cut once,
