Here is my set up for taking pictures of my pieces. Its a plastic container on its side with a clear plastic bag that has been cut open so it will lay flat - this helps diffuse the light. Then 3 lights from around the apt. There is also a piece of poster board taped to the inside of the plastic box for my background color. I went with white since it seems to show off the pieces the best. I may invest in a gradient background that fades from white to black, but for now this is good.
In this shot I'm taking a picture of a ceramic camera titled: Grandma's Blue Cheese.
