Artist and her work
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 29 December 2008 in Art & Design.
Hi you guys and gals. Its me and my 3 pinhole cameras that were in a local show here in Richmond. My friend took this picture of me with my pieces. I thought it was nice to see how little these 3 cameras are. I like the small intimate cameras, they are easy to carry about on walks and just really nice to hold and fit into any nook in ones place.
The Holidays were nice, the weather was - how do I say... FAN-TAS-TIC. It was 70 degrees on Christmas day AND it was Sunny. I didn't take any photos, however I did help a very special person who purchased a camera from me take photos. She had fun, she looked a bit nervous, but still had fun. All I can say is, its not rocket science a bad move wont blow you up - about the worst thing I can think of is mixing up the Dev with Fix and you make your place smell REALLY REALLY bad. Besides for that I suppose one could BREAK their camera - yeah that would be tragic. However, for me thats part of the fun. Using something that is considered delicate gives an extra special meaning to the photos that come from that camera.
That brings me to another thought of (this is ART WORLD thinking) making a camera, take pictures, then dare I say *break the camera* Oh my! It would be a representation of life. I consider my pieces to be little beings, living their own life and eventually we as humans all pass away from this world. I suppose I must think of the fact that these pinhole camera creatures with their own life could also pass from this world. Hummm - Its making for an interesting piece in my mind.
Don't fret I'm not going about breaking all my cameras. Its just something to consider. I wonder about breaking the camera on purpose & placing it back together. Sorta like when people break a limb---- hummm thoughts are getting pretty interesting.
Train of art thoughts,
