A different anglePosted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 25 November 2008 in Art & Design. Ok about the photo before I go off on many tangents. This is a triangle pinhole camera. It takes amazing pinhole pictures. I can take photographs two different ways with this camera. I can place 2 separate pieces of film down the sides. Or bend 1 piece of film into a U shape and place it inside, since the walls of the camera have a little bit of texture the film will have enough grip to stay in place. Talk about a wicked sense of hearing or senses I heard my upstairs neighbors phone vibrating. No kidding, I went walking through my place because I thought it was my phone - and as i stood and stared in the silence of the new morning light I came to the conclusion that it was NOT my phone. So then I thought well i just "thought" i heard it. Then about 10 minutes later that buzz sound came back - Ah ha I realize it is a phone it's just not MY phone it's the upstairs neighbor as I hear her little doggie get all excited about the noise & started racing back and fourth across the floor. That dog never barks, its sorta weird - heck I think the more weird part is that I've NEVER seen the dog get taken out for a walk (poor thing). Not that i'm constantly spying on the neighbor its just that out of nearly a year of hearing the sound of little thumps on the floor - One would think once she got off work she would go upstairs & then back out the door to take it for a walk. Nope instead she starts moving furniture around after work (I suspect its kitchen chairs or a computer chair i hear moving about) Yesterday I took 78 photos of some of my new ceramic cameras. Thank goodness I do digital slides. Thank goodness the ART world accepts digital slides - I blow kisses in the air to the energies whom we spirituality have our faith in. I know you guys remember back in the day when you had to take slides of everything, right. One reason for slides would be that the color on slides does NOT lie (well in less you have your settings wrong *but you know what i mean*) I'm actually a little surprised that art galleries are accepting digital images. Especially with the whole computer age where you can "fix" a photo. However, I suppose that once the work arrives to the gallery and they can see it in person, one would know if the digital image was a lie. So in that respect I'm glad they have moved to more modern times. Heck I know the digital images will be a heck of a lot easier to archive than a Galgamesh boat load of slides.
