Cabbagehead in the spotlight

Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 25 September 2008 in Art & Design.

This is my pinhole camera called Cabbagehead. A really easy fit in the hand kind of camera. This one takes really SHARP photos as well.

Yesterday I was finishing up working with some high fire stoneware & realize that I don't really want to work with that right now. I would love to make some pieces to raku fire, but hand building with the stuff is ridiculous. It just cracks more and is not nearly as flexible. So I may have to go back to throwing on the wheel for a little while, for my cameras, as well as other things I need to make in general.

I think I may fire up the iron & see how my photos transfer to fabric - If I like it or it it just looks cheezy. Oh thats what i need to make. I need to make some photo frames. - Trying to decide how to do that exactly... is making my brain hurt. I mean making the frame is easy - figuring out how I want it to hold a picture is the difficult part. I could add on things later, but I rather it all be one piece of ceramics.
