Teleport Travel Lesson
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 19 September 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.
This was a test shot from Tough Guy - that ended up being pretty cool. As I was counting the seconds to the shot I got to about 15 and decided sitting down in the shot might be better. I had a feeling I would be cut off because I was too close for standing. So I hurridly sat down and finished counting to 45 seconds.
Lets see - theres still no word on the jobs - but who knows maybe they are making a list of pros and cons for each person they interviewed and then they have to put that into a database that then tells them the probability of each person working out for them. While all that is going on they are also doing it in the classic style of testing, which is the old flip a coin method.
Today - instead of marching my behind into the living room and finishing up my cameras - I started out by practicing my painting again. That will be coming up soon ya know. I don't want to get into painting class & realize that I have NOT practiced in a while & get all nervous. So painting & drawing practice started - Now most of my practice has been sumi-e style basic lessons (which are mostly flowers *with the exception of bamboo*) However, there is one problem with this - I'm not really a huge fan of flowers. I will admit I have grown (no pun intened) to like the ones I draw, but I'm not really a FLOWER person. I like the flower power crazy designs of the 60s and of course my absolute LOVE of blue flowers, but thats bout as far as my admiration of flowers goes.
So I was practicing how to draw OTHER things besides flowers, with sumi-e style in mind. Let me tell you the transition is difficult. I like drawing the human figure gesturely style as well as a love for spiderwebs. I may look up some spiders & practice drawing them. However, I'm not sure how much other people will appreciate spiders? I know its about what I want - but I don't know I like having a more friendly appeal & not dark and mysterious to my artwork.
Trying to find the happy medium,
