Tough Guy gets a sponge bath

Here I am sponging terra-sig onto one of my pieces. I remember people in my class watching me do this process and not really being that interested until they saw the final product. They really like how the sponge gives a more even coverage as well as an interesting texture to the finished piece. The piece I have in my hands is called tough guy.

This weekend we had the leftover rain from one of the hurricanes down south. I think we were really lucky here - it just was nice calm, quite pleasnt rain with a bit of wind after the rain. Then Sunday it was really quite nice sunny - nearly HOT weather.

My mom had a good laugh at the weather man saying there's a "Cold Front" on the way with lows of 87degrees... What? since when has 87 been a cold front?

What does today bring? Well - I may be going to the store again for some double sided printable photo paper. I have been brain storming how to present my photos with my pottery pinhole cameras. So far mounting them does not seem to really work with the pieces. It seems like two different mediums fighting with each other trying to get attention. So I'm brainstorming unconventional creative ways to display the photos with these little cameras. As well as finding more creative ways to hang photos in my apartment.
