Oh No! The're Headed Right for Us!

As I was looking about me parents yard - I spotted this set up of 3 balls of white string on a white painted cast iron table. I thought hummm that could make for an interesting textured picture. As I was processing this photo at first i had it upside down and it looked like these big balls of string were in some kind of metal cage.

My parents - or I should say my Dad (since he is the one who collects EVERYTHING) has some pretty interesting and RANDOM things. I don't think I really ever get at a loss for pictures when I'm there. Except when it rains.

I can let you know my sumi-e painting practice is paying off - I am surprised at how much I have learned in this short amount of time. I know I still need lots of work tho. I am just starting to branch out and do my own compositions. I found this fantastically gorgeous metallic watercolor - DID you guys even know there was metallic watercolor? Its not just gold and silver colors - there is a pretty pale green, purple, opal, and rose color. Oh my they look super with the richness of the black ink.

I'm going to practice some more painting,
