This is another anamorphic pinhole-camera. This is one from an over firing. I didn't want to take a change of putting a lot of glaze on this one. So Instead I decided to put a clear glaze on only a couple of spot. The top where the shutter cap is (it looks like a flower) the ring on the top this is what you use to open the camera. Lastly there is clear glaze on the handles. The places i choose to put glaze were the places that would be touched the most. I thought it would feel a bit nicer to the touch if these parts felt smooth from the glaze. It also add just a bit of something to the piece.
I think i will work on getting this piece finished. It does not have all the parts on the inside to make it into a camera yet. Along with straightening up my shelves in my art room. They look like a disaster plan!!! Or like a disaster plan needs to be written so that one may take action to fix such an area.

@Rags: not really sure... i have about 10 - 15 completely finished and are usable as cameras. Then there are about 15 that are finished ceramics wize (but still need me to put the pinholes in as well as make them light tight (adding foam to the lids and what not) I have about 10 more that I am currently working with in clay from - they either need to be glazed or fired in some respect.
Total would be about 35 - 40 cameras... hummm i don't even think i realized i had that many till you asked.
Love the wild handles here . . like they are in a whirl . .

cool ceramic camera and there's something about this shot that grabs me... maybe the echo of the shapes and colours, or contrast of the textures. the chinese rug brings back happy memories of childhood.
