I Eat good Things
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 5 June 2008 in Art & Design.
This odd little piece of ceramics titled: I Eat good Things is indeed a fabulous pinhole camera. Oh yes indeed. See the cute little eyeball i'm holding *humm thats an odd sentence to read by itself - none the less* That is the shutter cap. I am trying some more difficult sculptural forms for my cameras. As for the odd name of the camera - I just thought since it looked like an odd little character of some sort with a weird mouth that intersects its eyes all i could think of was what this thing may eat. Which will be light and film and i consider these things good things :D
The only problem I have had so far with such a complex shape is having the lid so fitted has not left me any room for foam. So i was brainstorming what i could line the inside with where the lid of the camera fits the bottom - ya know to make it light tight and give it a snug fit so your camera is a bit easier to carry somewhere to take a photo. My foam is a just a bit to thick. Then I thought about a thick paper - but paper would evetually wear thin and possibly tear. So then i thought what about material. That would give a snug fit without being as thick as the foam and is more durable than paper and less likely to just wear out where the lid closes snuggly onto the bottom. YEAH!
Glad to come up with a solution.
Looking for material,
