Tiny Rose

Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 30 May 2008 in People & Portraits.

This was a exposed for 45 seconds on a very very bright late afternoon. This is a very old shot and one of the 1st ones i took with my pinhole camera. I didn't post it until now because I didn't like it. I thought because i was out of focus that i did something wrong. Now i know that because of the way I was squatting down I must have been moving just a little bit and that is why i'm a much softer focus.

After reviewing this photo in the archives I realize I like the contrast of the soft focus with the crisp focus of the tiny rose, i'm kneeling down to smell. I also realized that the positive you see here is flipped. It is suppose to be the other way around *oh the magic of the comptuer* the composition of it this way I think works better.

Last night, was our last night in the class of lidded forms. On the last night in our class we bring a food item and serve it in something we made. I am retarted because i didn't even take a picture of the wonderful blondies i made and had them served in one of my new fancy/odd shaped bowls with a handle built in. However, I did take a pinhole picture with one of the new cameras i just finished titled: You're the Bottom and I'm the Top I do hope the capture turns out - it will be so fab if it does! I pointed it at the food we all brought! I thought since its a torsoe (sp) and the exposure is made at the tummy *and the food goes in our tummy* wouldn't it be a cool/ironic shot with this particular camera. I also thought about the food disappearing... Oh isn't that cool :D

I need to set up the shelf i purchased in my laundry room so that i can then set up my quick dark room. - maybe i will do that today - actually maybe i will start on that right now.

Going to set up the shelf,
