Box Making

I was practicing a new technique that I learned in Box Making class. The technique was to take a cylinder and square off the bottom by pinching opposite ends and then keep pinching them in until they form 4 little points.

My apologies for not posting anything on that lovely Monday morning. I was a bit sick to my stomach all night. They kept making me wake up and feeling nauseous. I'm all better today tho. I went to the art building yesterday, and made shutter caps for my MANY pinhole cameras. I have 7 in the making.

I need to get my dremel tool out and sand up some of the pottery and get it ready to glaze. So lets see tomorrow Morning is Box making. We are going to "paint" terra sigillata on our boxes. Which is a colored slip (slip is clay that has water added to it and is the consistency of a thick soup)
