I think of mushrooms

This wonderful piece reminds me of mushrooms when they first start to grow... This was one of the pieces my NCECA roommate Nicole LOVED! I should ask her and see if she knows the name and artist, as i was so warpped up in looking at EvErYtHInG that i overlooked making any notes as to who the artist were sometimes :( awwww very bad of me (i slap at my hands)

I thought a closeup of this piece would be nice so i split it into 4 frames so that you could see the lovely detail at the top of these bottle shapes as well as how interesting the bottoms looked.

Its thursday and quite chilly i must say. Feels like a GREAT day for warm things like tea...

Pinky, thank you for taking multiple shots of this and making it a quadtych. And the way you composed them, I think is excellent. Also great idea on getting a close up, I would have never known it had so much detail at the top, neat! I like the photos you got from the Convention, but something about these shots in particular makes it seem like your own. Yah know what I mean? It's not just you capturing other Artists works. Excellent excellent!

I wonder how many times when making these the artist would have to start all over again after one slip of the hand or fingers , I like the coloring of the bottles

They have indeed something vegetative, something living and organic, with those holes in their necks, as if they serve some life function such as breathing. Because of their feet lifted up a little from the ground, they can also move themselves from one place to another, and they do it in groups, being dependent on one another. They have something strange and call for care and attention at the same time...
Beautiful and very ingenious. Made by a master. Worth being exhibited in a 1st class museum. You gave a wonderful picture report, we get a good idea of them, thanks Rabbit and enjoy your tea (did you try the South African "Rooibos" already? - it's my favorite.

@Illuci: Excellent review of this artwork... yes they do feel organic and i love what you said about the bottoms how it looks as if that is because they move. Wonderful interpretation!

So glad to showed us the details here. Those tops to the flasks are wonderful and you have me wondering whether that is based on some old practice of providing filtering to whatever the flasks contained . . although pouring would be kinda difficult!

Incredible pieces of work. You captured and displayed these images very well. They look paperish, like they make a crinkle sound when handled. The holes at the top are so interesting. Would love to know more about them.
BTW you can check out one of my pots I made. I have made better, I only took the shot for the stamp effect I added. But my centering and symmetry of the clay have been well centered. The small pot was to use up my last small piece of clay. It was the last day of class, but I have signed up for the next one.

Hey Rabbit! They look like they are gonna play music any time. Some kind of tribe-organ- under- water -sounds. Choral. Magic bottles when you poor you spill. It never ends up like you used to.
