So today's image was SUPPOSE to be the mug with the chosen handle!!!! WHY is it not that image - - - - -
i'll tell you why. I went to class with full intentions of taking a picture of the mug with its NEW stylish handle on it. And you guys are GOOD - it was the middle handle i choose for the mug!!!! Hopefully tomorrow if time permits me tonight to go take a picture of this mug with it cool appendage you will see how nice it looks.
Well lets talk about todays image. This is a sketch i did on some scrap calendar paper at work. The yellow in the background is called a ticket this is what i get at work to set up ads. Anyway about the sketch.... this is a mug or a bowl idea i have.
What i would do is throw a flared out cylinder shape then cut down one side. Then i would put the side back together but leave the top corner stick out as in the drawing of the second example. The Third drawing is a view from the top so you could see the EXTRA clay material & how the side i cut would intersect.
I'll finish up work here & then go to the art building to take a picture of the mug - and maybe even finish up some other pieces.
Take Care, rabbit

You rock Rabbit. Can't wait to see the result. My wife took a ceramic class for two quarters (5-6? years ago), and I seriously thought about quitting my job and go get an art degree in ceramics or sculpture. Will this be an espresso shot, or a coffee mug, just curious...

Looks like a great idea, I'd be interested to see how it turns out. Far different to how I am imagining the special mug to look tomorrow(?).
I love your passion and excitement =D)
