Just Paying my Dues while reading the News

Time for a walk

Early in the morning i'm awakened
by little wet kisses
from the little misses
she lets me know
she needs to go
get up get up
shes excitedly stands on my tummy
wagging her tail
watching me
with that sincere tilt of her head
watching me rub my eyes
trying to wake and get out of bed
she jumps off with quite a thump
shes a bit round maybe just a little plump
i reach over and get my glasses
looking around now for my jacket
walking drunkly down the hall
half asleep, i get the leash
half asleep, i open the door
half asleep, we are greeted with cold wind
fully awake - with that 'who needs coffee' thought
fully awake
i watch my breath escape
my lips
they tremble
my teeth
they chatter
i watch her walk with that wobble she has
i watch her sniff the puddles we pass
i watch the sky and the early morning clouds
the planes pass overhead and they are always loud
its time to make our return home
where i can have breakfast and its warm.

Dedicated to my dear friend
who lovingly walks her dog Cheeky every morning.

This photo was taken at Belle Island at 3:00pm on a nice sunny day the exposure time was 50 seconds using my pinhole camera tilted Little Wings. I couldn't resist grabing this shot when i saw the little doggie was reading a newspaper. Which said something cheesy on it like Cat Times or something along those lines.
