Looking Out

Looking Out

The texture beneath my hands is rough
as i drag my fingertips across it,
i do it again a bit harder
just to feel it
dying to feel it
i turn over my hands and look at them
staring at my pinkened fingertips
with traces of dirt & grit
staring at my existence
looking out over the edge of this bridge
letting my mind wander over the ridge
tiredly
tumbling
toward
the view of the rocks and water below
its a pretty site
with the glitter of the light
reflecting in my eyes i cover them
and hide from the view
i hide from this
the same as i hide from you.

This shot was taken off of a bride (suppose to say bridge as my dear sweet friend cabbagehead pointed out my mis-spelling) looking out at an old building, not sure what this building was. It looked very sad and haunting. Maybe a bit like a prison of some sort. This was exposed for 1 minute using my camera titled: Little Wings. I'm not sure what the white dashes are - my best guess would be a reflection of some sort. The bridge was concrete & metal so there may have been a metal piece nearby making that whited pattern with its harsh reflection of the sun.
