So i'll confess... i had a bit of a muck with the clay for a bout 2 months. I was doing fine i had at least 4 things in the making... yes 4 GRAND pinhole cameras!!! Then for some reason when i was a little more than half way thru each project ***mind you i had them ALL going at the same time (not a problem tho)*** each one decided to have something go wrong with it :( so then i gave more attention to the next, then it went wrong... so then the next... till i had 4 unfinished (humm actually 5 now i think bout it) yeah 5 unfinshed pinhole cameras!! WHAT is this you say?? yeah - i just became uninspired once my ideas kept literately falling apart in my hands.
So i wrapped them in plastic and there they sat for nealy 2 months. I would just see them on my shelf and give them a mental middle finger when i would walk by. Now normally when that happens i get so frustrated that i have been known to break my pieces. This time i didn't b/c each one could be saved... i just needed to redo one little thing here and there and it would be fine. Its just when you have One LITTLE thing to do on EACH one. Well then it sorta puts you in a bit of a sour MOOD to say the least.
So as i was saying there they were under plastic *keeping them under plastic keeps them from drying out* (however they can and will still dry out a bit if they are not sprayed with moisture or wrapped with a damp cloth) which i did not do. Then as i mentioned the other day, i was going to go and play in the clay. Well, i was getting ready to start some new projects. When i looked over at a shelf FULL of unfinished things :( so i said you know what, why not fix em up! Besides i had NO ROOM to put anything new i would make b/c of all the 1/2 projects sitting up there. So without any harsh feeling i unwrapped the plastic to this one - low & behold it was still moist enough to work with :D this one was going to be easy, all i had to do with it was cut out a hole & make a shutter cap.
You are looking down on the TOP of this Pinhole camera. I make this pattern by using a stretched out spring. It has the OTHER shape which i think looks like a paper heart shape one cuts out & is torn in half. I always thought it looked like this, but writing the name on the bottom felt even MORE true as i scratched it in.

Hi Rabbit, my compliments for your persistence finishing the 1/2-ready pieces. Not giving way to your frustration must feel like a victory. Congrats!! If i look at this photo, it has been more than worth while doing it. Great pattern. Unique. I am curious how it looks when it has been glazed.

Congratulations with overcoming the frust! The result will be great I'm sure. To be honest, this picture raises my appetite for chocolate :), funny how pottery work is so often associated with food...

I can relate to the frustration you felt with them. I hate unfinished projects especially when they stare you in the face every day.
I'm glad this one is on the mend. I cannot wait to see the end result.

I am glad you got around to fixing it up. Personally I don't like having unfinished projects laying around, so if I were you I'd feel much better now :)

I really like the abstractness of this one Rabbit!! It also looks like very ooey-gooey chocolate mousse... now I want some!! LOL Sometimes the most satisfaction we can get from a project is the one that seems doomed to fail but once you get back to it... well, it's even the more sweeter.

I am happy to know that you are overcoming your frustrations of mending these stuff...so they say artists are known to have a weird temper but hey you overcame possibly the temptation to just break them or leave 'em alone!I love the pattern on the clay:)
