While taking the back roads home from DC this past weekend - because 95 was redicilious. I notice a sign that said Fukien Gourmet. Who knew Gourmet could be so cheap only 5.95 for all you can eat! anyway I stair and stair at it & i swear if pronounced like i think it's suppose to be its pretty close to a descriptive swear word said in english. I start laughing and laughing at this sign - i could kick myself for not getting my own picture of the sign.
I would also like to wish someone special a BIG Happy Birthday! WOO HOO! Cheers, and drink up - although i have a sneaking suspicion that this could be a day to recover from the NEW YEAR celebration instead of having more to drink on the BIRTHDAY celebration. Maybe we should go get some Fukien Gourmet for your birthday.
The picture is a sweet Sake Set i made and well i was not trying to make the bottle just show those select letters i thought i appropriate to go with my story.

LOL :O) I do like this composition. And the sign is such a gorgeously stereotypical image of a Chinese eatery! Wonderful capture. :)

Wonderful Chinese pottery, congratulations, it's really wonderful!! I don't know what fukien is, so I cannot assess whether it's cheap or not. What word do you mean exactly? If it's ...., its sound is the same as the Dutch word for "to breed", and I can tell you this story, I don't know whether it truly happened: Our former Minister of Foreign Affairs was bad at English. He once visited his British colleague and they went to his horse stable to admire his horses. Our Minister asked politely (he didn't know much about horses): "Do you .... your horses yourself?" I hope this is just within your tolerance borders :)

@Illuci: lol - ha ha Oh my!!! <giggle>
Fukien (i guess is Chinese last name) however it when pronounced in English sounds like a dirty swear word. as far as being expensive... i was referring to the word Gourmet - usually GOURMET means that you get really nice food & it is very expensive price.
