This is a bowl titled sandy. I'm getting ready to eat my plain ol spaghetti with fake meatballs. Its not as exotic as the picture would leave you to believe this is just the blue channel from an RGB photo of my food with a red sauce. Interesting how different the channels can make your photos look completly different. This is very helpful when trying to bring out the contrast of a black and white photo.
As you see i'm using chopsticks i do not use regular silverware if i can help it. I have a whole dewar full of wooden spoons, forks and chopsticks.
i started thinking about how many dishes we do eat that are black and not many come to mind. I thought of black olives which i've seen recently made as a paste and then you eat it with crackers. Then theres caviar. When i go eat sushi i also see the black fish eggs used. Black berries and black beans (((oh and i almost forgot))) black rice! If you have not had BLACK RICE you must try it. Its quite meaty like brown rice but the flavor is quite nice almost sweet.
I think i've made myself hungry, rabbit

Ohhhh, this looks soooo inviting!!! A really superb presentation. And WOW again, my dear lady!! On top of all your awesome talents, you can wield chopsticks as well!!!! I really admire your interest in other cultures besides your own. All my hats off to you, again!!! Seriously. :)

Nice picture! In Holland we have black candies (liquorice), no foreigner likes them but the Dutch are fond of them. I can't imagine black food items neither besides pepper, and some kinds of berries, oh yes of course currants. There's also black coffee but it's rather dark brown than black. BTW I'm sorry for my remark about ashtrays!

@Illuci: awww... no need to be sorry... i dont' mind. In other countries smoking is more prevalent. I understand and i'm not offended at all.
as for Liquorice - i would say about half the people i know LOVE it the other half HATE it... you usually don't get people who just like it. I'm one that just likes it... ha ha
Very interesting to play with the channels like that. I like the texture that the cloth under the bowl brings to the picture.
