Remember mondays picture? Where i was making a template for the lid. Now i am using it here to cut my lid out with the needle tool.
Today it is the celebrated American Thanksgiving Holiday where family and friends get together for a big dinner and give thanks for our blessings.
Preparing for dinner is always a challenge for my mom is diabetic and because of her failing kidney she can not have green vegetables. Then theres me whom is a vegetarian. So between the difficulties of that there usually a pretty unique menu.
This years dinner is: *drum roll* Stuffed Soy Turkey Turkey Stuffing Balls (fake turkey of course) Corn Pudding Squash Casserole Bacon Spirals (this is a bread with cream cheese, onion, & real bacon bits lucky for me i can eat this - theres not enough meat in it to hurt me tummy) Tomato Pie (lkindly the weather held out long enough to still get a couple of garden fresh tomatoes for this dish *yum*) Mashed Potatoes Stringed bean casserole with fresh portabella mushrooms (the only dish that is green & mom will have to pass up Apple Cranberry Bake and a Black Cherry Cool Whip Pie
well i'm going to go into the kitchen & prep some of the food tonight so its less work tomorrow, rabbit
ps - i nearly forgot preparing all this while having a Gingerbread man drink 1 part Goldschlager® cinnamon schnapps 1 part Butterscotch schnapps 1 part Irish Cream it really does taste like gingerbread oh and it will sneak up on you watch out. 2 drinks & you may just curl up on the couch & fall asleep. Or 3 drinks and you will start telling all your family members how much you love them 4 drinks & you may decide to tell your family memebers how much you actually dislike them. 5 drinks & i think you will be praying to the porcelin god.
Cheers again, rabbit

I hope no I'm sure you enjoyed the dinner, unless you took too much of your Gingerbread man drink (is this a drink for men I thought you are a woman?). The dinner seems delicious even though it's 99% vegetarian. BTW my wife and son are also vegeteraians, not me, and I notice that having them around I 've become more critical about meat - not that I leave it, but I look for better quality and what kind of life the animals have got, so I don't eat chicken because they are "produced" under fast-growing circumstances in big barns, and after slaghter their meat is pumped up with water. Not to speak about the agricultural processes needed to produce their feed. The same holds for most of pigs, so I only eat pigmeat of pigs who have been walking around in a nice playground. But you have to know where this is available, not in the supermarket!
