Rolling on some texture
Posted by Rabbit (Richmond, United States) on 20 November 2007 in Art & Design.
This is a piece of textured plastic purchased for 3 dollars and the design is just so lovely, you'll see ;) I'm rolling it on top of my clay so it leaves the pattern on it.
I reach out to turn the black dial with white words. Starting at LO, a line, 2, a line, and so on until i stop just past 5 on the line. Placing a black pan shaped similar to a wok on the round red coil. The hinges squeak on a nearby cabinet that i open to fetch out the extra virgin olive oil, and in the pan a large drop of that will go. A rush of ice cold air comes toward me as i open the freezer and take out a bag of vegaterian hamburger crumbles. While i'm there i also open the fridge and get out an onion and lettuce. A sizzling sound sends steam shooting up toward the stove fan, that i finally cut on as i notice all the commotion from my look-a-like hamburger has made.
Now turning my attention to the onion, i chop it up in little pieces and add it to the meat giving it a good stir to hear that sizzle and smell. i reach for a bit of cayenne pepper and part of a package of taco mix (who really knows whats in that?). Then the secrete ingredient as i reach across the counter and retrieve a tall clear container holding little white crystals in it. I give it a good shake or two over my mix of onions and fake meat. I think to myself a grand trick for preventing indigestion later from the spices and set the sugar back in its spot next to the coffee maker. Pre-heating the toaster oven i then go over to my lettuce which i break into small pieces in no time. Along with cutting up a tomato out of a bowl on the counter ((ding)) goes the bell to the toaster oven, time to put the taco shells in... then returning to finish cutting up the tomato. The kitchen fills with the aroma of my taco heaven.
Only a couple more things as i whirl around to the fridge again & get out some shredded cheddar cheese & guacamole. I grab a wheel-thrown ceramic bowl from the cabinet. Placing the lettuce, tomato, look-a-like meat & onions, cheese, and a dab of the guacamole ((ding)) goes the toaster oven again as i happily get out my warm taco shells that i immediately just crumble into pieces on top (i think to myself thats how it ends up anyway - in pieces) i get some water and go sit on my snowflake blanket with my supper in a bowl and wooden spoon in my hand, its time to eat and make my stomach expand.
Tacos,
