So what am i doing here? Any guesses? possibly looking at my nails wondering what it would feel like to have a manicure? Figuring out how i'm going to poke someones eye out the next time they say they needed it yesterday? (no one says that to me btw) ok so i don't think your guesses are even close.
What i am holding is the needle tool, i just poked a small hole into the bottom of the bowl i'm holding to see how thick the bottom was and how much i have to trim off. This one was a nice 1/2 an inch. Wowza.
I took my camera to work yesterday you know which one of course the pinhole, i mean i really dont mention the other one now do i? Humm now i wonder if i hurt my other cameras' feelings? Well, it gets loved too so i'm not to worried. As i was saying - took the camera, i set some ads then i looked out the window and the sun came out :D gathered up my things needed for the little excursion and looked back out the window and the sun was gone. So i just sat back down & figured i'd wait till it came back out, well it never really came back out.
The whole reason it was important for the sun was so i could test out some new film i got the other day. I know that different brands of film expose slightly different from another so i must test it first and see if its bout the same amount of exposure time.
Its suppose to rain today - so that means no sun, but ya know i'm not unhappy tho. Because we are going through a terrible drought, and i miss the rain. I bet i miss the rain as much as the desert does.

such concentration on your face , you are a master craftswoman ...... I really like your little rabbit baretts !!! sorry to hear about the sun playing tricks on you ...... If the bottom of the bowl or piece you are working on is too thick will it explode inside the kiln ?

The sun can be tiresome when it behaves that way! If it's gonna rain fine just don't make promises of sun I say...my initial thought was that you were climbing in here...washing your elbows perhaps? I'm very bad at guessing. Like the light on your hair though...very cool processing now get out of the muck!

This is a wonderful self portrait. It really captures the essence of you and your work. You're just too cute too!
It's raining here today, but I think we need it. It's been a little dry here but not terrible.

Hi Rabbit! That looks sooo beautiful! When will it be finished?
24 Oct 2007 6:39pm
@Lost Valley View: Hummm - it will take about 3 weeks to dry out on the shelf... then bisque fired. Next it gets glazed then Cone 10 fired. From bisque till the Cone 10 would not be long, but you usually wait until you have enough work to fill up the kiln which can take about a month or two.
So i guess about 2 months from now ;)
A pro at work!

Did it rain? It's weird, but sometimes I too wonder abt crazy things like do the plants feel hot when the sun's all out, or does the chair feel strained when I sit on it. I bet your other cameras will understand.

What a lovely story! The picture is also great as usual. I'm sure you have enough things to do when the sun doesn't show up, things you postpone because the pinhole claims your attention, have fun also with them and give your other camera a hug :)
