Well , this will be short and sweet because i just nearly fell face first into my keyboard. Ha ha - i'm super tired...

I'll offer more into on the tile and everything once i get some rest.

Ahhh - i'm up after a much needed sleep. I updated my image which its the same i just zooooomed out a bit more, i got the feeling it was hard to appreciate how interesting the separation of the box was if you couldn't see it all b/c i cropped in close to the lid.

This is a spring box (i call them that because i use a spring to make that cool pattern on the top) So this starts out upsidedown on the wheel like in this photo. Then you pull a spring through back & fourth a little bit in a zigzag motion to get that cool design.

After about a day of drying it is then seperate from the bat (that's either a stiff plastic or board set on pins on your wheel head so you may easily move your creation after your done) Then turned over...

That would mean it has no bottom right. Well then i roll out a piece of flat clay about 1/4 inch place this ontop and cut out my circle, then attach it. Next i use an exacto razor to cut the odd shape thrugh the middle to make a lid and a bottom.

The reason this is title numb fingers is because this one was finished up one chilly morning and i had already made several other things that day. By the time i got to this one to finish it up my poor little fingers were numb.

I usually use these as jewelry boxes. although i believe i do have one holding my wii remotes as well :D

Cheers,
Thanks for stopping by,
rabbit
