This is another close up of one of my shot glasses named, Karmacoma. I must bid thee fair well tho. Because this one was sold just the other day and is now currently on its way to its new owner.
What you are seeing here is the lovely Red Shino with Celedon over lapping thats what creates the sporadic dark gray areas. Which i really enjoy. Also any wear you see like the little white dots, thats where it sparkles. It has a tiny bit of sparkle to it not alot but just enough to look like when your at the beach and you notice the sand sparkles just a bit ;)

These jewelry-like textures is what I like of ceramics. It can take all forms, colours and shines you also can see in natural rock. Nothing is more endurable, nothing is more breakable. Maybe the picture would be even more expressive if you crop it a little bit at the left side to remove the pale-blue spot in the left upper corner.

Oh....u must be having mixed feelings to part with your shot glasses, leaving one of ur creation but yet happy that someone appreicate your works...i guess Back to the foto, i like this macro shot of yours, apart from the sparkling white dots, the darker parts, esp on the centre, looks a bit like fallen autumn leaves, very nice!

Love the wonderful earthy tones here. I do like the sporadic dark gray areas and bits of sparkle you pointed out. This actually reminds me of a rich desert landscape viewed from high altitude like from a plane!! Once again, a marvellous piece, dear Rabbit! I can really see why you will miss it when it goes to your buyer.
