Well i was taking photos of other pottery, mostly shot glasses, and i got a bit hungry so i got some quaker crackers and put them on my little pink and burgundy plate named She Sells Sea Shells. Then I sat back down to continue shooting my photos. Well as i picked up the camera and looked through i saw my plate in my lap and said huh, thats cute <snapped picture> sitll looking through the view finder i picked up a cracker focused on it <snapped again> well i did this for the whole plate of crackers as you see and thought it would be fun to put them all together so you can see the little crackers disappear ;D
This is a wheel-thrown piece, then it was altered. I glazed it in the lovely pink glaze i made <insert big smile here> I called it pinkys pink (since people call me pinky in art class) and plum. I thought it was soooo pretty where the plum overlapped anywhere near the pink its a darker pink... Oh tiz a lovely color. I'm not even a big fan of pink but i really like this combination :D
This darling little one is available in my Spot the Pot shop. I will be sad when she finds a new home, but happy to share such a pretty piece.

Very neat :)
I, for one, LOVE pink, so this little character is now one of my favourites! My plate would have had chocolate chips on it, tho!
Some of the shots look almost 3D...very cool, Rabbit.

I'm hungry; we're South Beach dieting. It's our first week on that diet, and those crackers look really, really good. Your narration is really first-rate, as is the little sea shell and the various photos of disappearing crackers...

Going...going...gone are the crackers! Great sequence.

Your blog is "something different", I appreciate very much you visited mine because now I discovered these fine pictures, a wonderful idea to combine ceramics with photography. Photos of ceramics are wonderful as I can see! Photos on ceramics is something I hate :). I love the colors and composition. BTW, although I didin't know because I didn't see your "about" first, I could immediately "suspect" you of being a lady, and it turned out to be right! Wonderful picture, you could make money out of it by selling your pics to a ceramics magazine, it's professional! Nice playing with words in the title, too!

Good colour and sharpness in the individual images and the series looks really great. Could you tell us how you got each one exactly the same size?

@Andrew Gould: sure no problem - as i am a Graphic Designer by day -shhhhh- dont tell. anyway i work with photoshop for all kinds of things and yes there is more than one way to skin a cat! So this is the way i did it for this one, but theres also another way i do it, as well.
1. I set up one 9 by 9 space (i thought that would be an easy size to make my lines) then i just put some guides every 3 inches... which cut it up into 9 squares... 2. then i opened each ALREADY croped photo and copied then pasted it into the 9 by 9 doc. 3. Then Free transformed each one and just letting it snap to the grid for each spot i needed it to be in.
There is also another way to do this and that would be by being in Photoshop again and go to File/Automate/Picture Package (there you can set up your own picture package - by breaking up the space how you want on what size paper you want etc. etc.)
i didn't feel like setting up a package first tho... but i guess i could have so if i ever want to do a series of 9 again i'd have it ready. And thinking about it now, i think that would have been a better way to go at least if i want to save time in the future (i'm always thinking bout saving time in the matter of making things easier by using templates and such)
I hope i have given good instructions if you would like to do this yourself for an image in the future. Cheers - have a super fantastic day!
Greaaaaaat!! This is just my favorite!!Rabbit! This work reminds me of a Pink petal or Pink Moon! Romantic and mysterious! I really love it!
