i decided to make my breakfast a bit more interesting by cutting a little heart out me toast and cooking my egg in that. The plate featured here is named Walking After Midnight fired at cone 10 with red shino and lugna glaze. I totally dig the color that is made when these two overlap which is a dark glittery smokey black with a tiny tint of purple. ~25

@RoBeRt: Actually this is the place to first discover my pottery. If the piece is finished i put a ~ and a number at the end of my story/comment area or the word gift which means its not for sale. Yeah if anyone were interested in getting a piece of my pottery just drop me a line at spotthepot [AT] gmail [DOT] com and i'll help ya out with more info or pics.
Heck i'm even open to any ideas, I think it would be cool to get an idea from someone and post a photo story as i create their pottery piece and make it come to life.
Yummy! Great photo!

Your story reminds me of "depression glass" which looks black until held to the light. Then you can see through it, which shows it's purple tent. I'm not aware how it came to it's name though, since it was far too expensive for people during the time period. Love the story, and the way you've done the shot... but jeez, you've made me hungry. Again! ;-)
